Great Trethew Manor is set in the heart of the countryside surrounded by 40 acres of beautiful gardens woodlands and meadows. The only access is a delightful half mile drive. Bordered with many lovely trees and shrubs. There are many woodland and garden walks which harbor a wide variety of wildlife including Woodpeckers Jays Nut Hatches Pigeon Pheasant Partridge Snipe Kingfisher Heron Fox Rabbits. Badgers and occasional Deer. Inside the Manor we have a large character bar and restaurant with a beamed ceiling flag toned floor and log fires when the evenings get chilly. The Restaurant with candle lit tables and roaring log fires in the winter offers an A La Carte Menu to suit everybody's taste as well as a Specials menu and bar snacks. We serve top quality food from the harbour the farm and the game keepers larder. New this year we are offering our amazing Volcanic Lava Stones. Within the grounds we have a fish ponds trout lake croquet lawn barbecue area Lakeside BBQ pony trekking animal feeding area trampline bouncy castle and garden games and plenty of room for the children to play. Guests wishing to participate in pony trekking please make a note of this at the time of booking. This will avoid dissapointment if we are fully booked when you arrive. Roaming the grounds we have several peacocks some of ours and others from accross the valley as they are free to roam the nearby area as they please. We also have a free car park on site which guests are welcome to use at their own risk. The cottages are one a minutes walk from the hotel and offered on a self catering basis and electricity is charged on card meters. There are nearby beaches for everybody some small and edged with rock pools others just long curves of pristine sand and pounding surf. For a good family beach with traditional seaside activities where you can hire a boat or enjoy a cream tea Looe as well as Seaton & Downderry provide a perfect setting.
All guest rooms have been tastefully decorated and furnished with antique and old world furniture. You will not find two rooms alike at Great Trethew Manor. Our four poster rooms and superior double rooms all consist of a kingsize or superking bed with ensuite bath/shower over. All standard doubles and singles have ensuite shower rooms on the 2nd floor. Every room offers tea and coffee facilities together with remote controlled televisions. DVD players can be added to the room on request.
On site we offer Pony Trekking which can be on a lead rein basis for the complete novie or we can offer a more adventurous ride for those willing. The ride takes place within our own grounds and sometimes we adventure into the adjoining woodlands. Our Fishing lake is stocked with brown trout and is available at any time throughout the day. For the more serious fisherman/lady or for a family wishing to experience the woodland at night we have a garden house by the side of the lake.

- We offer a good size restaurant and also guests are more than welcome to dine in the garden. The restaurant room itself overlooks the front garden where you can watch the peacocks and chickens exploring. In the evening when the night is chilly the log fires will be lit. Breakfast is a casual afair where you can help yourself to a buffet breakfast and our waitresses will take your order for a full traditional breakfast. We have a large menu from over 8 steaks available on our Lava Steak Stones.

Directions:
From Plymouth stay on the A38 and follow signs for Liskeard. You will go over the Tamar Bridge followed by the Tunnel you will then approach Carkeel Roundabout at Saltash take the 2nd Junction off this one for Liskeard. You will then go through the villages of Landrake and Tideford. Once passed tideford you will approach Trerulefoot Roundabout. Take the 3rd exit again for Liskeard. Stay on the A38 for approx 3 miles and take the Looe Junction B3251. We are approx 1/2 mile on the left;
