Our visitors can drive through lovely scenic roads to Lakeside and choose to travel on the preserved Railway or on the steamers that ply their way the length of Windermere to Bowness and Ambleside. Alternatively a short drive takes one to the popular market town of Ambleside or to Sawrey and the car ferry to Windermere or one can head easily towards Grasmere and beyond. Being at the heart of the Lake District means that nothing and nowhere is too far!
