The Nine Standards Brewery is a small microbrewery with 5 letting rooms with a superb bar and restaurant offering traditional home cooked food from 6pm every day using local produce wherever possible. We are ideal for coast to coast walkers offering not only clean and comfortable accommodation serving a variety of real ales together with a fully stocked bar. Our food is all homemade and you can enjoy them by the roaring log fire at the end of a long day's walk. All front facing rooms have a view of the Nine Standards (weather permitting). The pub caters for walkers bikers campers and locals alike. Accommodation is basic but clean and comfortable. There are 2 shared bathrooms and all rooms have their own handbasin. Nine Standards Brewery is situated on the outskirts of Kirkby Stephen next to Stainmore Railway Museum and opposite Pennine View Caravan Site and within easy reach of Kirkby Stephen railway station and town centre. We are a working brewery and brewing usually takes place 4 days a week in the mornings. Viewings and brewing experiences are available on request. We keep ales from our own brewery on the bar along with a selection of lagers ciders and wines.

All of our rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. They offer superb views of the surrounding area including stunning views of the Nine Standards (front facing rooms only). Rooms are let on a room only basis; a cooked breakfast is available if booked in advance. In order to lower the room cost to you we do not include toiletries or towels in with the room price; these are available at an additional charge on request.
