The Putechan Hotel (pronounced Pooch-e-kin) was the former Duke of Argyll s hunting lodge and dates back to 1872. Positioned on the western edge of Kintyre and facing the dramatic Atlantic Ocean with stunning views of Islay Jura and Gigha incredible sunsets are often on offer. The hotel can accommodate weddings (we have a civil licence) and events in our Venue and our special Rock Room is also available for smaller functions celebrations and events.
