We have a well-deserved reputation for excellence and wed like as many locals as possible to experience our culinary delights in the unique atmosphere of The George. We offer great and affordable lunchtime and evening food options with sumptuous seasonal menus featuring an impressive range of reasonably-priced dishes many created using local produce. We offer four-star accredited accommodation with en-suite bedrooms and breakfast to a very high standard. All rooms are non-smoking with TV free WiFi tea and coffee-making facilities and hairdryers. Doubles have king-sized beds two with bath and shower. The George has great FREE LIVE MUSIC every weekend.
We have a sixteen seater dining room plus the 'snug' which can seat an additional 24. Food is also available in the bar area
Hot food is served from 12pm-2.30pm & 6pm-9pm Monday to Saturday and 12pm-5pm On Sundays. Sunday lunch is a great favourite at just £9.95 for one course £12.95 for two courses and £15.95 for three courses. Wednesday night is our popular Grill Night - two grills and a bottle of wine for £25. Friday night is Fish Night. We also offer full English breakfast for non-residents on Saturday and Sunday mornings from 8am-11am.

Mobility Description:
The George is situated 300 yards from the Severn Valley Steam Railway Station. There is a bus stop immediately opposite. Unloading is available at the front of the Inn we can assist with guests' luggage. Opposite is the S.V.R. car park and others a five minute walk away. Disabled access is via a permanent wheelchair ramp and double doors leading to our lounge bar. Food can be served in the lounge which is adjacent to the disabled toilet. Access to the dining area is via two 3 foot 2 inch wide steps with a handrail. Steps have rises of 6 inches with 10 inch treads. Our bedrooms are accessible via a 2 foot 9 inch wide staircase with a handrail. Steps have risers of 8 inches and a tread of 10 inches. There are seven steps to a quarter landing and a further seven to the first floor. Our bedrooms run off a 3 foot 10 inch wide corridor. There are no lifts.
