The Frocester George is a traditional Coaching Inn which offers a warm welcome whether you are visiting on a cold winters day to sit and enjoy a real ale next to the wood burning fire or on a warm summers evening in the courtyard with a cold drink. The beautiful oak panelled bar offers a great range of real cask conditioned ales including popular local brews and a number of regularly changing guest beers. We also pride ourselves on an excellent choice of wines with varieties of all the popular grapes on offer and a flavour and price to suit every taste occasion and pocket. The Library restaurant offers a mouthwatering selection of dishes all cooked freshly to order using local produce wherever possible. Much of our beef pork and lamb is from farms in the village and supplied by Frocester Fayre farm shop less than 1 mile away. Bread is handmade daily by our chefs and we have a great range of bar snacks available. The bedrooms are luxurious and all have Egyptian cotton bedding and beautiful bathroom fittings complete with duck island toiletries. The largest of the rooms have large deep baths and walk in showers. Most of our ten rooms are front facing and enjoy views of Frocester there also great views of the courtyard from a couple of the larger rooms. Frocester is situated close to the M5 making it an ideal base to explore the local area and is also well placed for visiting the cotswold villages and the spa towns of both Bath and Cheltenham.
All of our ten bedrooms have been completed to a high standard and have modern bathrooms complete with luxurious toiletries. The bathrooms have powerful showers and some also have baths. Each room has a flat screen tv and tea and coffee making facilities. The beds all have bespoke egptian cotton bedding and silk bed runners and cushions. The rooms have retained the original character of the building and there are a number of rooms which you will see have the original beams exposed in places.
The Frocester offers a traditional bar serving 4 real ales as well as a selection of draught and bottled cider and lager. Food is available all day in the bar or courtyard and the restaurant is open for lunch from 12 and for evening meals from 6 p.m. We have a courtyard which offers a lovely setting for alfresco dining on warm days and evenings. There are lots of local attractions in the area such as Slimbridge Wetlands Trust Woodchester mansion Gloucester historic docks and Frampton on Severn
