Camp Amalinda, A Wilderness of Granite, is situated outside the Matopos National Park 45 kilometers outside of Bulawayo. The Matopos region has been classified as a world heritage site and is home to a profusion of wildlife. Some of the prolific species found here are the black eagle, a high population of leopard and rhino.
Camp Amalinda has 9 exquisite, luxury rooms set within the granite boulders and each of these have a distinctive look and feel due to slightly different furnishings allowing Amalinda to offer a unique and bespoke accommodation experience.
The lodges all have electric blankets for the winter season, showers and toilets (which are built into the granite) and the camp is open to children of all ages.
Activities include hikes to the tops of giant granite dwalas, walks to the world renowned caves and bushman paintings, game drives, abseiling, rhino walks and access to our spa and salon.
