Built c.1700 this a traditional Lead Miners' Cottage; one-up-one-down and is probably the oldest dwelling house in Middleton-inTeesdale. Our latest innovation is THE 'Teesdale Lead Miners Pasty' - this uses Teesdale Lamb and locally grown vegetables is traditionally made as a 'Full Meal' and is a worthy rival to the Cornish pasty !!! At Cafè 1618 we have two newly refurbished Double Bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms with sleep enhancing comfortable Double Beds. The rooms have flatscreen TV Kettle and Tea & Coffee making facilities. We also have our Doll's House Cottage with its own separate access. This provides secluded and cosy accommodation in our beer garden and is directly opposite our Conservatory restaurant "Number 17". Our rooms and cottage sleep 2 and are offered ' B&B' with our prize winning breakfast !!
